Patroller Jobs in Michigan

A Patroller in the security industry is responsible for monitoring and protecting a defined area or property against illegal activities such as trespassing, theft, vandalism, and other potential threats. Their tasks typically include conducting regular and random patrols, either on foot or in a patrol vehicle, scrutinizing people and vehicles entering and exiting premises, responding to alarms, and writing detailed incident reports. The Patroller may also be tasked with providing first aid and other necessary help during emergencies. Besides, they ensure the strict adherence to company's security policies and protocols.

Skills required for a Patroller role include solid observational skills, a high level of physical fitness, and excellent written and oral communication abilities. They should possess knowledge of public safety and security, and have the proficiency to operate technical devices and systems like CCTV. It's important for a Patroller to have a Security Guard License, and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED are an advantage. Prior to becoming a Patroller, an individual might have roles such as Security Guard, Security Officer, or Loss Prevention Officer.
