Applications are currently being accepted until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6 , 2025, for the civil service hiring of full-time and part-time police officers. Applicants must have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in PA Act 120 M.P.O.E.T.C. Training. Candidates will be required to successfully pass the final exam prior to being hired. Applicants must also have a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator’s license, possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED, be 21 years of age, be a citizen of the United States of America, be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer, and meet all other Civil Service requirements. A $25.00 application fee made out to “Township of Leet” must accompany all completed applications. Application fees will be returned or refunded to applicants upon completion of the physical agility test. Applications can be obtained in person at the Leet Township Municipal Building, 194 Ambridge Avenue, Fair Oaks, PA 15003, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, or at “leettownship.org/homepage”.

The modified Cooper physical agility test will be held on Tuesday, May 13 , 2025, at 9:00 AM (please arrive at 8:30 AM) at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy, 700 West Ridge Drive (North Park), Allison Park, PA 15101. The written examination will also be held on Tuesday, May 13 , 2025, at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy immediately following the physical agility testing. Other mandatory components of the exam include an oral exam, a background check, a post-offer medical examination, and a post-offer psychological examination. Candidates who pass the physical agility test and the written examination at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy will be invited to attend an oral exam and background check at a later date at the Leet Township Municipal Building, 194 Ambridge Avenue, Fair Oaks, PA 15003.
