What you’ll do as a Director, Physical Security
- Establish and maintain the overarching physical security strategy for the enterprise, that establishes clear practices and promotes a proactive safety and security culture
- In coordination with the relevant stakeholders, define, implement and review the physical security standards and associated plans across the enterprise
- Develop and implement enterprise physical security policies, guidelines and procedures. Establish a process to measure effectiveness and adjust as required
- Work with Operations Leaders, Safety and HR teams, Information Security, and other stakeholders to provide security support and guidance.
- Provide proactive leadership and analysis on emerging physical security issues.
- Partner with Information Security to align physical and cyber security strategies, policies and practices
- Provide operational security and safety advice as required to managers and staff on the preparation and execution of higher-risk travel, including direct physical security support and advice during the travel or other deployment/presence in higher risk contexts
- Arrange for physical security for travel and events as necessary
- Provide security incident response in coordination with operations, safety, HR and other stakeholders
- Develop and manage company wide crisis management plan, policies and procedures
- Identify crisis management and response training needs. Partner with training teams to develop and deliver training to relevant parties
- Other duties as required
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- 12 years of experience in Physical Security with minimum three years leading a department
- Demonstrated understanding of the threat landscape facing our organization
- Proven track record of leading physical security organizations with distributed operations
- Leadership and strategic management skills to develop, coach, and direct the performance of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills fostering an inclusive, supportive environment by motivating and developing staff at all levels.
- Executive presence with which to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
- This role will require frequent domestic travel
